Sedgwick’s temporary housing division continues to closely monitor developments related to the current outbreak of COVID-19 and we are dedicated to ensuring our customers have access to our services. As the situation evolves, we’re working closely with our employees, partners, and customers to support business operations and serve our customer’s needs. We are following the guidelines issued by the public health authorities, including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization (WHO), and implementing strategies to safeguard our employees and ensure continuity of operations for our customers.
Currently, our office is still open and operating at normal business capacity. In the event we have to close our physical office location, Sedgwick’s temporary housing division will be available remotely. Our team members have been provided with all necessary equipment to continue providing service with unsurpassed integrity, diligence, and attention to detail. We constantly invest in technology and increasing our network capacity to meet the demands of our “always available” 24/7/365 structure. Our backup systems allow us to continue to operate with uninterrupted service.
Our levels of service should not be impacted and we expect business to operate as usual. If there are issues with mail or carrier service closing, we are prepared to pay via credit card or wire transfer. We are communicating with our hotel brand partners for updates and taking precautionary measures before booking anyone in a hotel or long-term housing. Furthermore, we are in contact with our furniture vendors and requesting constant updates if there are any changes with their operations or service levels. At this time, our only unforeseen challenge would be Landlords’s willingness to rent out properties. Our plan to counteract this challenge is to continue to seek additional property options and utilize our hotel network temporarily as needed. If this becomes an issue, we will inform you and your insureds immediately.
We will continue to update our customers as needed based on current changes in the market. We thank you for your continued support of Sedgwick’s temporary housing division and look forward to serving you and your insured’s through their time of need.
Best Regards,
Mike Leslie
